Edith E. Lessard

Edith E. Lessard, 93, formerly of Wakefield and Warwick, passed away Saturday. She was the beloved wife of the late Wesley R. Lessard, Jr, who passed away in 2014. They had been married for 67 years. Born Providence, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Eulalia Dahl. She was instrumental in helping her late husband run and operate the Tase-Rite Company in Peace Dale, which is now run by two of her sons. She is survived by five children, Alan Lessard and his wife Alice of Falmouth, MA, Janet Lee and her husband Thomas of Hamilton, MA, Alice Tully of Bristol, Wesley C. Lessard of Saunderstown, and Gary W. Lessard and his wife Patricia of South Kingstown; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, She was the sister of the late Carl Dahl and mother in law of the late Beth Lessard. Visiting hours will be Friday 12- 1 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private.
