Earle M. Stratton

Earle Stratton, 95 of Narragansett (Formally of Enfield, CT for 62 years), passed away peacefully on Monday, October 23, 2023. He was born in Bangor, Maine to Gorham and Nellie (Fletcher) Stratton. He was the beloved husband to Eleanor (Ellie Whitcomb) Stratton for 65 years.

An Army soldier for six & a half years, he served in Korea earning a United Nations Service Medal among many other awards. He was quite proud of his work there. Upon returning, he married Ellie and they moved to CT to work for Pratt & Whitney. A few years later he opened his own successful Centerless Grinding business until the age of 72.

Above all else, Earle loved his family. He also enjoyed his many friends, UCONN sports - especially basketball, reading, golf, and viewing the ocean.

He is survived by his children Brent Stratton & Mary, Sandy Cox & Russ, Jeff Stratton & Lynn, and Ann Stratton. His grandchildren are Matthew Cox & Alissa, Scott Stratton, Chris Cox, Mike Stratton, and Cathleen Stratton. He loved his interactions with his great granddaughter Stella Marie.

A Celebration of Life will be held in November.

Military burial will be at a later date in Lamoine, Maine.
