Earl T. Culp, 88, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully June 8, 2017. He was the loving husband of the late Irma D. Culp. Born in Hazelton, PA, he was the son of the late Paul and Vesta (Bommer) Culp. Earl was an air traffic controller in the Navy on the USS Randolph. He worked for the FAA for 30 years before retiring as Chief Controller of Quonset Radar Tracon, also working as a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker for many years. He was a master gardener and loved growing vegetables. He is survived by his son Donald E. Culp and daughter Diane C. Alexander; son-in-law Bill and loving grandchildren Brian and Kevin Alexander; brothers Elwood Culp and the late Robert Culp. Visiting hours in memory of Earl and Irma will be celebrated Thursday, June 15, from 5-7pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield, RI, 02879. Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Earl and Irma’s memory to the Village House Nursing and Rehab Activities Department, 70 Harrison Ave, Newport, RI 02840 or a charity of your choice.
