Dorothy Louise Taylor

March 23, 1937 — September 12, 2024

Dorothy L. Taylor,”Molly” 87, of South Kingstown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12th, 2024 at South County Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Raymond D. Taylor, the love of her life; they were happily married for 55 years. Born in North Kingstown, she was one of twelve children of the late Asa and Elsie Hammond.


Molly was a great story teller, who drew you in and left you laughing, she loved telling stories about her family the most. Molly enjoyed spending time with her friends at Peace Dale House, playing cards, crafting, watching the Red Sox and volunteering in the store. She was a great neighbor and friend. Molly was the ultimate caregiver to all, to her husband, her children, grandchildren and friends. Molly was happiest spending time with her family who she was very proud of.


She is survived by five children, Raymond Taylor, Jr. (Cheryl) of Scituate., Dennis Taylor (Julie) of Charlestown, Steven Taylor (Michelle) of Charlestown, Michael Taylor (Christine) of South Kingstown and Cynthia Casten (Jesse) of South Kingstown. Molly is survived by ten grandchildren, Tracy Glenn, Nichole Cayer (Tim), Nicole Macomber (Kevin), Bradley Taylor (Kristina), Brock Taylor (Alex), Justin Taylor, Sarah Doyon (Sam), Katie Taylor, Haley Casten & Maxwell Casten. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, her sister, Beverly Mowrey and her sister in law, Judy Taylor, and several nieces and nephews.


Molly will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.


A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024 at 11 AM in White Brook Cemetery, Pine Hill Road, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Vintage Pet Rescue or your favorite charity.
