Dorothy Mae Tarasovis

Dorothy Mae Tarasovis (“Dottie”), 89, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2015. She was the wife of the late Walter J. Tarasovis. Born in Long Branch, she was the daughter of the late Harold S. and Mabel (Estelle) Miller. She was a lifelong resident of Ocean Township until moving to Rhode Island in January, 2005. Dottie loved the Jersey Shore, especially her summers at Takanassee Beach Club and Avon Beach. She enjoyed bowling, painting, and her beloved cats and was a member of the Oakhurst Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her friends and her cousins, the late Salle Corsar, Nancy Pearl, and Betty McDonough and their children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Blanpied and her husband Peter of West Kingston, RI and Diane M. Stokes of Altadena, CA; three grandchildren, Tyler and Donovan Blanpied and Noah Mathis. She was the sister of the late Harold Miller. Her funeral and burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Popcorn Park Zoo, Lacey Township, NJ.
