Dorothy L. Poirier

Dorothy L. Poirier, 80, of Overlook Rd., died Saturday. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Poirier. Born in East Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Emil and Mary (McGlynn) Benson. Mrs. Poirier worked for New England Telephone Co. for over thirty years before retiring. She was the mother of Jane Botelho; step-mother of Robert, Daniel, Denis, Kevin, Christopher and the late David Poirier, Peggy Minogue, Jeanne Bassett, Amy McGillivray and Michelle Gardner; sister of Warren Benson and the late Muriel Raymond; grandmother of twenty-one and great grandmother of seven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Rd., Narragansett. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. North Kingstown. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
