Doris M. Manganaro

Doris M. Manganaro (Biggio), 88, of Wakefield, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at South County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Dr. Attillo L. Manganaro. Born in Palisades Park, NJ, a daughter of the late James and Eva (Prate) Biggio. Doris earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Barnard College and her Master’s Degree from Columbia University. She was an esteemed trustee, taught religious education and volunteered at St. Thomas More Church; volunteered at South County Hospital; was a member of The Dunes Club; The Women’s Club of South County; a board member of The South County Museum and The Girl Scouts of the USA National Staff in Manhattan. She is survived by her cousin Marie Biggio of New Jersey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 6, 2016, at 11 am in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett. Burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to South County Hospital, 100 Kenyon Ave., Wakefield, RI 02879, South County Museum, 115 Strathmore St., Narragansett, RI 02882, St. Thomas More Church, or a Charity of your choice.
