Doris Ellen Clark

Doris E. Clark (Dimon), 89, of Exeter, Passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at home. She was the wife of the late George F. Briggs and Larry Clark. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late Harold N. and Mary I. (Essex) Dimon.

Doris was a cook for the Ladd Center for many years before retiring. She enjoyed camping, going to fairs, playing bingo and traveling.

She is survived by her children, George F. Briggs and his wife Caroline of CT, Charlene Gardner and her husband Donald of Exeter and Timothy L. Briggs and his companion Patti Perry of AZ; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late David E. Briggs and sister of the late Mabel Dimon.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022, 9-10 am, followed by a funeral service at 10 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
