Doris E. Campbell

Doris E. Campbell, 89, of Snug Harbor, died Tuesday. She was the wife of the late Donald L. Campbell. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Esther (Norton) Clifford. Mrs. Campbell enjoyed reading, baseball, spending time with family and friends, and was a wonderful cook, especially of her famous homemade beans. She is survived by four daughters, Donna Smith of Weathersfield, CT, Diane Campbell Cook of Peterboro, NY, Dayle Taylor of Snug Harbor, and Doreen Salk of Alpharetta, GA; seven grandchildren, Will Taylor, David Taylor, Doreen DeSouza, TJ Domenico, Dawn Dale, Nikki Nye, and Ethan Salk; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph Clifford of Coventry. She was the grandmother of the late Wayne Smith and sister of the late Marilyn Lukowicz. A graveside service will be at 11 AM Saturday at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, 6365 Post Road, North Kingstown. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Friday 6-8 PM.
