Donna Webb-Pierson passed away on November 2, 2023, after courageously experiencing a long illness. She was the beloved wife and best friend of Michael Pierson, and loving mother to her cherished son, Nicholas Pierson.
Besides her husband and son, Donna is survived by her deeply loved siblings, Janice Webb, Michael Webb (Meg Murphy), David Webb, Christine Webb, and Paul Webb. Donna also leaves behind her precious Aunt Mary and Uncle Jim Bartholomew, her caring Aunt Jean Maciag, several adored nieces, and nephews, one newly born grandnephew, whom she was thrilled about, much cared about cousins and exquisitely loved friends.
Donna was predeceased by her parents, Gail, and Pauline Webb. She was also predeceased by her dear Aunt Fran Loomis and Uncle Ray Loomis.
To say that Donna was a spirited person would be an understatement. Growing up, the second of six children, Donna exuded a mischievous zest for life, and her siblings are grateful to remember her most humorous and sometimes precarious escapades. As she grew from a beautiful little girl into a teenager and young adult, Donna’s love of all things fun expanded into a sense of all things shared. She enjoyed sharing whatever she had with whomever needed something, whether it was the gift of laughter, money, compassion, friendship, wisdom, or tenderness. Donna was an animal lover, and nurtured so many pets over her years of life, from bunny rabbits to cats and dogs, especially her precious black lab, Opal, who is now comforting Mike and Nick, and dreaming of Donna in heaven. Many knew of Donna’s devotion and utmost generosity to her mother, Pauline, while she was alive, and her explicit determination to help her mother live the life she wanted, especially during her final years.
Donna graduated from URI in 1990, and it was here where she met the love of her life, Michael. The life they shared was a beautiful one to witness, and their devotion to one another is continuous. Countless moments of living and loving were shared between Donna and Mike, including the growth of their shared business, but the most joyous ones centered around their son, Nick. Donna and Mike greatly enjoyed their numerous family trips, especially vacations to Lake Winnipesaukee, and delighted in sharing their lives with extended family and friends.
Donna relished the beauty of nature, and it was here where she most often found deep peace and was reminded of the wonders of God’s love. She often collected sea glass on her beach walks and artistically displayed what she found in her home. Donna had a special talent and love for working with stained glass and found great joy in giving her gorgeous creations to those she loved.
Donna will be greatly missed, but her loved ones take comfort in knowing that her love for them continues forever.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 4 to 6 pm at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield, RI. A prayer and short reflection on Donna’s life will be shared at 5:30 pm.
