Dina Marie
Narciso
April 21, 1964 – March 20, 2026
It is with deep sadness that the family of Dina Marie Narciso announces her passing on March 20, 2026, at her home in Cornelius, NC. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend whose vibrant spirit and energy touched everyone who knew her.
Dina was born on April 21,1964, in Wilmington, NC, and spent her formative years in Rhode Island, where she graduated from North Kingstown High School in 1982. She carried a lifelong love for the ocean and the outdoors, finding joy in running along the beach, swimming, and surfing. Dina had a deep appreciation for all things nature and lived an active, adventurous life.
She often joked that she spent more time on an airplane than anywhere else, having spent many years working in the airline industry, a career that perfectly suited her love of travel and adventure. After retiring from the airlines, Dina pursued a successful career in real estate, where she worked passionately and devotedly in North Carolina, Florida, and Rhode Island.
Above all, Dina's greatest pride and joy were her family. She is survived by her mother, Rosalie Gabrielle of West Palm Beach, FL; her father, Louis Narciso and wife, Beverly, of North Kingstown, RI; her loving children, Jason Carr of North Kingstown, RI, and Melissa Carr of Palm Springs, FL, and former spouse, John Carr of Palm Desert, CA. Her cherished grandchildren, Capri Carr (Melissa) and Kaylee Carr (Jason), were the loves and joy in her life, along with her longtime four-legged companions, King Triton and Scuttle. She also leaves behind two sisters, Gina Lyman of Westerly, RI, and Michelle Levitt-Savic of East Northport, NY and their families; and her dear aunts, Anita Throwe of Florence, SC, Helen Goodwin of North Stonington, CT, and Anne Abreu of White Plains, NY.
Dina shared an unbreakable bond with her best friend of 47 years, Sheila Felice of Narragansett, RI, whom she lovingly considered her adopted sister.
She was predeceased by her loving brother, Dan J. Narciso, her paternal grandparents, Louis and Anna Narciso, and her maternal grandparents, Charles and Rose Gabrielle.
Dina had a profound love for animals and was especially passionate about rescuing dogs. She dedicated much of her time and heart to helping animals in need. She will be remembered for her strength, her adventurous spirit, her compassion for animals, and her deep love for those around her. In keeping with Dina's love of animals, donations can be made to the Animal Rescue of RI, 506B Curtis Corner Rd. Peace Dale, RI, 02879.
Her family and friends will forever cherish the love she gave to us all.
A Celebration of her Life will be planned in the coming months, with details to be shared with family and friends.
