Diane (Lindner) Sexton age 81 of Narragansett, passed away June 15, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 15, 1942 to Lillian and Harry Lindner, Diane grew up in Deep River, Connecticut.
She loved spending time near the ocean. She enjoyed countless adventures and loved fishing, clamming and crabbing with her family. Her favorite vacations were cruising to exotic ports. Diane was an avid and talented gardener. Each summer she took pride in her beautiful flower garden. She loved music and would often stay up late at night listening to her favorite crooners. Diane adored her animals. There wasn’t a stray cat, blind squirrel or bird that wouldn’t find her and she took care of them all. Diane maintained her own business for many years but her favorite jobs were being wife, mother, and grandmother to her loved ones.
Diane is survived by the love of her life and husband of forty-eight years, Richard Sexton; her children Rodney Schneider and his wife Cathy, Candace Schneider (predeceased), Jacqueline Fleming and her husband Danny, Tiffany Grace and her husband Kevin; her cherished grandchildren Ryan, Tyler, Lauren, Madison, and Skylar; her twin sister Nancy Stadalnik and brother Thomas Lindner.
Diane was cherished by her family and will be missed beyond measure.
Visitation for Diane will be held Friday, June 21st, 2024 from 9 to 10 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Rd, Kingston. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics of Rhode Island, 370 George Washington Highway, Smithfield, RI 02917.
