Diana Elizabeth Clavin-Vallee

December 23, 1985 — January 8, 2017

Diana Elizabeth Clavin-Vallee, December 23rd, 1985 – January 8th, 2017 Our beloved daughter, Diana Elizabeth Clavin-Vallee, passed away on January 8th in Jacksonville, Florida where she lived and worked for the last three years. She is survived by her mother, Jane Clavin, her father Edward Vallee, step-mother Paula Bains-Vallee, and her grandmother Thelma E. Vallee. Additionally, other family members include: her aunt Patricia (Clavin) Cole, her uncle Steven Cole, her aunt Nancy Clavin (deceased), her uncle Louis Marquet and cousins: Merry Clavin-Marquet, James Clavin-Marquet, Joshua Vallee, and her two adored cats, Oscar and Rowan. Diana was born at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts in 1985 two days before Christmas. In 1986, her family moved from Arlington, Massachusetts to Providence, RI where she spent her early childhood and advanced through school. She was a member of Girl Scout Junior Troop 54 and Senior Troop 422 , Providence, RI where she filled her sash with many merit badges and made many life-long friends. Diana attended Martin Luther King Elementary School and Community Preparatory School in Providence, Rhode Island and graduated from Classical High School in 2004. She received her Bachelor degree in business in 2009 from the University Of Rhode Island (URI). Then in 2012 she was awarded her MBA from URI. She was employed at Citizens Bank during her tenure at URI. After earning her MBA degree, Diana relocated to Jacksonville, Florida to follow her career interests at Deutsche Bank (DB) as an Associate in the Global Markets Division. Diana was an integral part of the DB community, and became well known for her indomitable personality soon after joining the bank almost three years ago. During her time with Deutsche Bank, she built deep relationships not only in Florida but also with colleagues in New York and London through her work in the Global Markets Divisional Control Office. Diana’s vivaciousness was infectious, and radiated out from the brilliantly styled desk she imbued with such happy energy. She was also an active participant in the Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) campaign, and in a number of other groups across the Deutsche Bank campus—NextGen, Passion for the Planet, and many more—and epitomized what it means to be an engaged, sensitive individual, representative of the bank, and her global citizenship. Diana was under consideration for a promotion to an upcoming open position for Vice President beginning in February of 2017. Diana discovered the joy of singing as she would spend the Christmas holidays with family in Warwick, New York, participating in the long-standing family tradition of singing together. She loved going out and singing in some local venues on karaoke nights. Sometimes she would go out to a local venue on karaoke night and sing her favorite song, “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. Diana was a loyal friend to many who had no friends, was extremely popular among her peers and was known for her hilarious sense of humor. She could make you laugh even when you didn’t want to. She was passionate about animals; she loved owls, wolves and Alaskan husky dogs. Her two loves were her cats, Oscar and Rowan. She rescued Rowan as an abandoned kitten, barely two weeks old when she found him faltering outside her home in Jacksonville. She nursed and bottle-fed Rowan every four hours for weeks on end until he was able to eat solid food. Diana was actively involved in the local community, performing volunteer work in her spare time. She was an outgoing, caring and compassionate young woman who possessed a unique and often very humorous perspective on life that endeared her to all who knew her. We all love and miss her dearly. We will celebrate her life with a memorial service which will be announced at a future date.
