Dennis J. Logan, 63, of Wakefield, and formerly of Warwick, died Sunday at home, following a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Kimberly (Koepper) Logan for twenty years. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late John and Laura (Forrester) Logan. He was a 1968 graduate of Pilgrim High School. Dennis was a Postal Clerk for the United States Postal Service in Wakefield for twenty years, retiring in 2009. He was past-President of the American Postal Workers Union Local 2039 and past-President of the Rhode Island State Organization of the American Postal Workers Union. A sports enthusiast, he was a dedicated and devoted Boston Bruins and New York Yankees Fan. Besides his wife he is survived by three children, Lori Logan-Sollitto of Warwick, Johanna Logan of Narragansett, and Luke Logan of Warwick; two step-daughters, Chelsea Jenkins of Jamestown and Tiffany Jenkins of South Kingstown; and four grandchildren, Ali, Luke, Ella, and Colby. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-7 p.m. Dennis was a longtime supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and his family asks to make memorial donations to this organization in his memory, Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675, woundedwarriorproject.org.
