Dennis J. Logan

Dennis J. Logan, 63, of Wakefield, and formerly of Warwick, died Sunday at home, following a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Kimberly (Koepper) Logan for twenty years. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late John and Laura (Forrester) Logan. He was a 1968 graduate of Pilgrim High School. Dennis was a Postal Clerk for the United States Postal Service in Wakefield for twenty years, retiring in 2009. He was past-President of the American Postal Workers Union Local 2039 and past-President of the Rhode Island State Organization of the American Postal Workers Union. A sports enthusiast, he was a dedicated and devoted Boston Bruins and New York Yankees Fan. Besides his wife he is survived by three children, Lori Logan-Sollitto of Warwick, Johanna Logan of Narragansett, and Luke Logan of Warwick; two step-daughters, Chelsea Jenkins of Jamestown and Tiffany Jenkins of South Kingstown; and four grandchildren, Ali, Luke, Ella, and Colby. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private.
