Dennis M. Kane, 64, of Wakefield, died Thursday. He was the beloved husband of Suzanne (Archambault) Kane. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Michael G. and Betty Ann (Hogan) Kane. Mr. Kane was an elementary school teacher for the Chariho School System. He was a very proud American who would have loved to have served his country, but there were circumstances beyond his control that prevented him from joining the armed forces. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Alison Ward and her husband James of Narragansett and Adrien Blaine and her husband Douglas of Warwick; and three grandchildren, Michael Ward, Nathan Ward, and Noah Blaine. The funeral will be 8:45 a.m. Wednesday from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visiting hours are Tuesday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Foundation, RI Chapter, 2915 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886-3117. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
