Deborah R. Savasta

Deborah R. Savasta, 73, of South Kingstown, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020. Born in Providence, RI, she was a daughter of the late Agustino and Teresa (Mitola) Savasta; and mother to the late Christopher Mason. A graduate of Barrington Bible College, where Deborah gained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She went on to teach English and worked as a Librarian in Toronto, Canada. Deborah had a passion for literature and a special appreciation for all forms of art. She attended St. Augustine Church of Kingston, RI, where she sang in their choir. She was a loyal sports fan and never missed a University of Rhode Island game. Deborah also enjoyed outings to the theater and going to lunch with her friends. She is survived by her sister, Cynthia Storti of Narragansett, RI; as well as nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at St. Augustine Church, Kingston, RI
