Deborah J. Duquette, 63, of Narragansett, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday. She was the beloved wife of Gerard O. Duquette, Sr. for 40 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Frank T., Sr. and Barbara B. (Fogg) Smith McCausland, and step daughter of the late Alfred W. McCausland, Sr. She loved spending time in her garden, planting flowers, shopping, traveling, and taking her grandchildren to the beach. Besides her husband she is survived by three children, Nichole Schroyer of Narragansett, Gerard O. Duquette, Jr. of Narragansett, and Julia I. Duquette, of Narragansett; four grandchildren, Zachary, Lucas, Penelope, and Ariana; her twin brother, Frank “Tommy” Smith, Jr. of Narragansett; two sisters, Jerri St. Martin of Vermont and Linda A. Pinette of Connecticut; and a brother Alfred “Butch” McCausland, Jr. She was the sister of the late Edith “Di” McCausland and sister-in-law of the late Carol Smith Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Sunday, April 17th, from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, followed by a prayer service at 1:30 pm.
