Deborah Louise Chenevert

October 12, 1955 — November 29, 2021

Deborah L. (Doucett) Chenevert, 66, of South Kingstown, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Avalon “Louise” Doucett. She was the beloved companion of the late Reginald Hurley for 30 years. Debbie was raised in Cranston where she graduated Cranston High School West in 1973. In school she was a part of every musical performance and was active in the Acapella Choir and Mixed Chorus. After high school she graduated Rhode Island College in 1973 with her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education English. Debbie worked as the manager of JC Penny’s for many years. She also was the manager at Poor Simons and Fashion Bug in the Wakefield Mall. For many years she helped and waitressed at Terminesi’s restaurant. In her spare time she loved to sing, read, travel with Reggie, and do her crossword puzzles. She will be remembered as a social butterfly, making friends wherever she went. She loved people and always enjoyed spending time with her friends. Debbie also enjoyed playing cards and was a member of a card league in South Kingstown for many years. She is survived by her brother, Philip Doucett, Jr. her nephews; Philip Doucett, III and Daniel Doucett; as well as many loved friends. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 12pm in Arturo Joe's, 140 Point Judith Rd, Narragansett, RI 02882.
