David Francis Winter

June 29, 1941 — January 8, 2019

David F. Winter, 77, of Narragansett, passed away Tuesday January 8th, following a brief illness. Born in Narragansett, he was a son of the late Francis "Hank" and Mary (Grey) Winter. Mr. Winter was employed by Eastman Kodak as a Computer Systems Analyst. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran, serving honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a man who lived life to the absolute fullest, and he had a laugh that would fill up a room. He was dubbed the unofficial Mayor of Narragansett and Father Christmas. Along with his beloved family, he leaves behind many, many friends who will never forget him. He is survived by three children, Elizabeth Staropoli of Rochester, NY, Stephen Winter and his wife Emmanuelle of Paris, France, and Julie Winter, of Rochester, NY; four grandchildren, Owen Staropoli, Calvin Staropoli, Lucie Winter, and Clara Winter; a sister, Stephanie Houde of Hope Valley; and a brother Richard Winter of Wakefield. Visiting hours will be at the Avery Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Friday, 3:00 5:30 pm, followed by a service at 5:30 to celebrate his life.
