David Sands

David Sands, 71, of Wakefield, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016. He was the husband of the late Lorna J. (Drummond) Sands. Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph and Natalie (Correll) Sands. Mr. Sands was a fire suppression designer for many years before retiring. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer; and was a supporter of local sports. He is survived by two sons, Patrick Sands and his wife Jessica and Christopher Sands and his wife Cynthia; four grandchildren, Finn, Kelsea, Alec and Little Johnny ; a brother, Allen Sands of Maine and his longtime companion, Rita Blythe of Wakefield. He was the brother of the late Robert Sands. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at 10 am in St. Romauld Chapel, Atlantic Ave., Matunuck. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be private.
