David J. Leeman

David J. Leeman, 81, of Tuckertown Road, passed away Tuesday at South County Hospital. He was the husband of Norma (Royce) Leeman and the former husband of Barbara Leeman. Mr. Leeman was an Electrical Engineer for AT&T and New England Telephone for thirty eight years before retiring. Mr. Leeman was an avid philanthropist. He loved animals and volunteered daily at the South Kingstown Dog Shelter. He enjoyed reading, bird watching, the beach and was an avid sports fan. He was the father of Joanne Leeman and the late Joseph Leeman; brother of Mary Raiche and the late Catherine McGovern, Blanche Edmands and William Leeman Jr. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Friday 1-3 PM followed by a prayer service at 3 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be private.
