David A. Laurie

David A. Laurie, 60, of Buckeye Brook Rd., Charlestown, died Tuesday at home. He was the husband of Shirley (Ploettner) Laurie, they were married for twenty-seven years. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of Peter G. Laurie Jr. of Narragansett and the late Eleanor E. (White) Laurie. Mr. Laurie was a co-owner of Pt. Judith Welding for many years. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Besides his wife and father he leaves a daughter, Darlene Poirier of Charlestown; three brothers, Peter Laurie III, Joseph Laurie and James Laurie and two grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held Friday 3-6 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM.
