David H. Heffron

April 7, 1953 — March 24, 2012

David H. Heffron, 58, of Kingston, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 24, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Tracy J. Heffron. Born in 1953 in Concord, NH, and raised in Warwick, RI, David was the son of the late George James and Rosamond (Trainor) Heffron. He attended Rhode Island Junior College and in 1982 founded RI Hydraulics Co. in North Kingstown, where he served as president for the last thirty years. David was both a member and a trustee of the Kingston Congregational Church and a member of the Kingston Improvement Association. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and will be especially remembered as a generous, loving and kind person who was so fun with his grandkids, and no one will forget his infectious laugh. He loved to spend time with family and friends, especially at his lake house in NH. He was the beloved father to Catherine M. Isgro and Vince of Gales Ferry, CT and Christine E. Zeppieri of New London, CT. He was the beloved “Gaga” of Hayley, Sydney, Jonathan and Anthony and the late Nicholas; brother of James G. Heffron and his wife Patricia Leavitt of Exeter, RI and Anne Heffron and her husband Bill Jones of Wakefield, RI; loving uncle of Laura, Katie, Holly, Cliff and Lindsey. A celebration of his life will be Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the Kingston Congregational Church, 2610 Kingstown Rd., Kingston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are 4-8 PM, Friday March 30, 2012 in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Donations in his memory may be made to RI SPCA, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, RI 02915.
