David W. Conley, 70, of Narragansett, died unexpectedly Monday, December 24th. He was the beloved husband of Sandra S.( Sprague) Conley for 51 years. Born in Newport, he was a son of the late William R. and Hilda (Allen) Conley. Mr. Conley was a commercial fisherman for 34 years and then a painter for the Painter’s Union in Providence for ten years, before retiring five years ago. Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Sandra S. Conley of South Kingstown, Lisa A. Bode of Wickford and Renee M. Snow of South Kingstown; five grandchildren, Courtney Conley, Alexander Nieves, Dalton Snow, Spencer Bode and Bay Ann Bode; six great grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence S. Conley of Washington, M. Edward Conley of New York, Robert A. Conley of Narragansett; and two sisters, Betty Lincoln of Block island and Ruth G. Busby of Connecticut. He was the brother of the late Willam R. Conley, Jr., Wilford P. Conley, Richard E. Conley, June T. Male, Hilda A. Leeming, and A. Charlotte Parrish. A memorial service will be held on Block Island at a later date.
