Daniel F. McDade, 86, of Wakefield, died Friday at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Isabel “Cis” (Reynolds) McDade. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Daniel and Alice M. (Roberts) McDade. Mr. McDade was the owner of the Rhode Island Coin Machine Company for over 50 years, retiring in 2000. In his spare time he enjoyed sailing, flying, listening to music, learning and exploring new technology, but his greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He served honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. He is survived by a daughter Diane (McDade) Heisler of Warwick; four grandchildren, Daniel Knight, Kristina LeGoff, Nicole Heisler, and Marcie Knight; two great-granddaughters, Samantha LeGoff and Alexandra LeGoff; and a half-sister, Kathy (McDade) Joss of Moab, Utah. He was the father of the late Susan (McDade) Knight. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 11 am – 1 pm at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a graveside service with military honors at 2 pm Thursday in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
