Czeslaw Swiszcz

Czeslaw Swiszcz, 71, of Charlestown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Genevieve M. (Guzik) Swiszcz for 45 years. Born in Rzeszow (Kobyle), Poland, a son of the late Tadeusz and Stefania (Gaj) Swiszcz. Mr. Swiszcz was a machinist for Smith & Wesson Co. for many years before retiring; was a Vietnam War Era Army Veteran and was a communicant of St. James Chapel. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Lisa Swiszcz and her husband John Casais of Wellesley, MA and Chester M. Swiszcz and his wife Christina of Narragansett; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Lauren Hazzard and Alexandra and Rachel Swiszcz; three sisters, Sophi Stefanozicz of Suffield, CT, Mary Ozga of Chicopee, MA and Elizabeth Simao of Ludlow, MA and two brothers, Louis Swiszcz of Chicopee, MA and Stanley Swiszcz of Burlington, MA. His funeral and burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. A memorial mass will be celebrated at a later date.
