Cynthia M. Correira

Cynthia M. Correira, 60, of South Kingstown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. Born in Providence, the daughter of Frank Laurito and Agnes (Protena) Manoogian. She enjoyed the beach, reading, listening to music, going to Twin River Casino, an avid Red Sox Fan, and being with her family and pets. She was a pediatric nurse for Hasbro Children’s Hospital for 33 years and even after retiring she continued to care for and keep in touch with her patients. She is survived by her mother Agnes and father Manoog (Mike) Manoogian; longtime companion Maria Satas and former husband David Correira, Sr.; children David Correira, Jr., Danielle (Correira) Yankee, and Matthew Correira; grandchildren Andrew, Jacob, Alyssa, Jaxson, Sobeida, Gianni, Milania, and Novara; and siblings Laurie, Robert and Michael and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be Tuesday, Sept 13, 2016 at 10:00 am in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Calling hours will be held Monday, September 12, 2016 from 4-7pm. At the Cindy’s request please wear jeans and a T-Shirt. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
