Courtland N. Mcpherson

Courtland N. McPherson, 62 of Cranston, and formerly of South Kingstown, passed away peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital Friday night. Courtland was a dedicated Capitol Police officer for 27 years, retiring this past June. Courtland was a stoic man, but below his large exterior was a gentle giant with a love for life and a heart of gold. Courtland was a proud father of three, Jennifer McPherson Clarke, daughter; Courtland G. McPherson; son, and Kevin McPherson, son. He is also survived by his companion Linda S. Fox and two grandsons Sean and Cayden Clarke. A celebration of life will be held Thursday October 25th at 11 AM at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday October 24th from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Looking Upwards P.O.
