Constance Priscilla White

Constance P. (Butson) White , 88, of Wakefield, passed away Thursday, May 10. 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond H. White. Born in Noank, CT, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Pearl M. (Cady) Butson. Mrs. White was a Postmaster of the US Postal Service, retiring from the Kenyon Post Office. She was a member of Exeter Chapel and she enjoyed quilting. She is survived by five children, Joyce Briggs of Mountville, PA, Charles White of Wakefield, Mary Bliven of Christiansburg, VA, Catherine Bliven of Wakefield, and Carol Tefft of Evans Mills, NY; 18 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Russell of Groton, CT and Margaret Kenyon of West Kingston and two brothers, Charles Butson, Jr. of Wakefield and Peter Butson of West Kingston. She was the mother of the late Dennis White and sister of the late Frank D. Butson. Visiting hours will be Monday, May 14, 2018, 9 10 am with a funeral service at 10 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private.
