Constance “Connie” Geduldig (nee Feroleto), 91, of Shelter Harbor, RI, died on July 16, 2022 in Providence, RI following a brief illness. She was born on July 4, 1931 in Springfield, MA to Teresa and Domenic Feroleto. In her twenties, she moved to New York City where she attended NYU and met her future husband, Alfred Geduldig. They married in 1960 and had two daughters, Abby and Julie. In the late 1960s, the family settled in Pelham, NY. It was there that Connie met her dearest, lifelong friends, and enjoyed a robust and happy social life. It was during that time that she and her dear friend, Barbara (Ludvigsen) Willner founded Decoration Day, a home decorating and silk floral design business in Larchmont, NY. Connie was a talented artist and creative businessperson, putting all her skills to work when the family moved to Charlestown, RI in the late 1970s, purchasing and revitalizing Windswept Farm on Route One. There, she ran the business’s gift shop and was co-owner of its restaurant and pub. Connie had a keen interest in helping others and became a certified hypnotherapist as a second career. She owned and operated her own practice, Hypnosis for Women, in Providence in the 1980s. After retiring, Connie spent several years as a volunteer at the Westerly Public Library. In her younger years, Connie was an avid tennis player and continued to enthusiastically follow the game throughout her life, up to and including this year’s Wimbledon matches. She was known for her big laugh, her sense of humor, her artistic “eye,” and her unmistakable white hair. She loved movies, parties,Valentine’s Day, artichokes, Jerry Seinfeld, and most of all, spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her daughters, Abby Rodman (George Vazquez) of Newton, MA and Julie Howard (Ted) of Pelham, NY. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Max, Sander, and Jay Rodman, and Phoebe and Georgia Howard. Services for Connie will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made in her memory to the Veterans of Foreign Wars or The Westerly Public Library.
