Constance P. Benoit, 92, of Wakefield, and formerly of Anawan Cliffs, Narragansett, passed away on Saturday, after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Emile A. Benoit. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Armand and Georgine (Valois) Picard. She attended Rivier College in New Hampshire and graduated from the Eastman Institute of Oral Health at the University of Rochester in New York. Connie was a former Dental Hygienist. She loved to play golf and tennis, and she was an avid bridge player and former member of the South County Bridge Club. Connie enjoyed attending sporting events as well as watching them on television. Mrs. Benoit was also a former resident of Naples, Florida where she was a member of the Wyndemere Country Club, and she is also a former member of the Pt Judith County Club and the Dunes Club. She is survived by two daughters, Emilie Benoit, Esq. of Wakefield and Christine Benoit, DMD and her husband Bruce Gouin, DMD of Charlestown; and two grandchildren, Brendan Gouin, DMD of Wakefield and Annick Gouin of Charlestown. She was the sister of the late Georges Picard, DMD, Jean Picard, DDS, Yolande St. Germain, and Henri Picard. The funeral will be 9:30 am Thursday from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Wednesday, 5-7 pm.
