Clifford A. Brown, Jr.

Clifford A. Brown Jr., 74, died Thursday. Born July 9, 1936 in South Kingstown, RI, he was the son of the late Clifford A. Brown Sr. and Eliza (Harry) Brown. Clifford was a proud Elder of the Narragansett Indian Tribe. He previously worked in quality information for Rockwell Space Division in Downing, CA. He was a foreman at Roberston Paperbox Company in Montville, CT. He was a retired Veteran of Korea and Vietnam, who served in both the Air Force and Army for over 20 years. He is survived by beloved companion of 30 years Janet Pires of Wakefield; former wife Norma Brown of Groton, CT; two sons, Clifford A. Brown and his wife Lliana of Groton, CT; Andrew D. Brown of Groton, CT; a daughter, Angela Coney and her husband David of Bear, DE; two sisters, Janet Wills of Westerly; Alice Thomas of CA; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Elwin Brown of NE; Norman Brown of Charlestown; and a grandson Nicholas Coney. Visiting hours are Friday 10 am to 12 pm followed by a funeral service at 12 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, RI . Burial with military honors will be in the Spears Family Cemetery, Charlestown.
