Clarence O. Jim Guy

Clarence O. “Jim” Guy, 78, passed away Sunday, September 3rd. He was the beloved husband of Jane (Vibber) Guy for 61 years. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a son of the late Ralph A. and Helen (Campbell) Guy. Mr. Guy was employed by Simplex Time Recorder for 28 years, retiring in 1994. He had a passion for repairing clocks and the unique ability to manufacture parts that he needed to do the necessary repairs. This was something he truly enjoyed and was meticulous and patient when working on the clocks. He also liked to camping, a hobby he began when his children were young. Besides his wife he is survived by two children, Carrie Jacox of North Kingstown, RI and James Guy of Auburn, MA; five grandchildren, Jonathan Jacox, Jocelyn Cabrera, Christine Netzer, Michaela Guy, and Troy Guy. Services will be private and held at a later date. The family kindly requests that memorial donations in his memory be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of RI, 2348 Post Rd #202, Warwick, RI 02886.
