Claire F. Sheldon

SHELDON, Claire F. Perrotta (Fischer), 82, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 22, 2014. She was the wife of the late Kenneth H. Sheldon and formerly the wife of the late Ralph Perrotta. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Beatrice (Pothier) Munroe and the late Sigmund W. Fischer. She is survived by her loving children, Richard Perrotta and his wife Anh of Burbank, CA, Christopher Perrotta and his wife Eunice of Allen, TX, David Perrotta and his wife Gail of Warwick and Susan “Suzella” Perrotta of Westerly with whom she lived; two grandchildren, Diane and Jonathan Perrotta and a brother, Richard Fischer of Cumberland. She was the sister of the late Joyce Hatfield. Claire was a gentle, generous soul who was the light of the day. Her positive energy radiated to all those who met her. To know Claire was to know true joy. Claire loved gardening, travel, all things nature, her cats, reading and most of all people. She always had a smile and kind word for anyone she met. She will be sadly missed. A special thanks to Home and Hospice Care of RI, her Jehovah family and all our friends and family for their love and support. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014, at 10 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Friday 5-7 pm.
