Christopher C. Simpson

July 4, 1974 — January 2, 2013

Christopher Charles Simpson of Ledyard, Connecticut left the land of the living on January 2nd, 2013 surrounded by his friends and his devoted dog Monty after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Vineland, New Jersey on July 4th, 1974. He leaves his mother Penny Simpson of Kingston and his father Douglas Simpson of Barkhamsted, CT, his brother Scott Simpson and family Michelle, Jared, and Cassandra of Richmond. Christopher was the brother of the late Jennifer Simpson Natalizia of Narragansett. He leaves his brother-in-law Michael Natalizia and nephews Zachary and Jacob Natalizia of Narragansett. As well as friend and traveling companion Mary Lizotte of Westerly, and all of those he met along his journey here on earth. He attended school in South Kingstown and graduated from South Kingstown High School in 1992 and from Ithaca College, Roy H. Clark School of Communication in 1996. He was employed at 4D Films in London, UK as a Production Assistant, Machine Head in Los Angeles as a Sound Designer/Composer, Motorway Entertainment as a Sound Designer and Editor creating sound design for national television commercials. And most recently ESPN as Lead Sound Designer. He was quick to smile and put a smile on your face, as well as warmth in your heart. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 26th, 2013 at 10AM at Peace Dale Congregational Church, Columbia Street, Peace Dale, Rhode Island. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Make A Wish Foundation of Rhode Island, 20 Hemingway Drive, East Providence, RI 02915 in the spirit of providing hope and joy to children with serious health problems.
