Cheryl A. Ladd

Cheryl A. Ladd, 51, of Wakefield, died Saturday, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of John and Anne(Sweeny) Ladd of Wakefield. She was a graduate of South Kingstown High School in 1975 and received her BS degree in Business Management from URI in 1980. She also received two Masters Degrees from URI, an MBA in Finance in 1993 and a Masters in Library Information Systems in 2004. Miss. Ladd was a consultant at Delta Dental of RI before being hired as a Project Manager. She had also been employed at Bank of America, Fleet Boston Financial and Hospital Trust. She volunteered her time at the Pettasquamscutt Historical Society, the Domestic Violence Resource Center and the URI Library. Besides her parents, she is survived by a sister, Cynthia Anderson and her husband Eric of Clifton Park, NY, two brothers, Thomas Ladd of Buckfield, ME and William Ladd and his wife Julie of Wakefield, five nieces and nephews, Lauren, Kirsten and Karl Anderson, Chelsea and Haley Ladd. A memorial service will be held Saturday February 7th at 11 AM in the Kingston Congregational Church, 2610 Kingstown Road, Kingston. A celebration of her life will follow from 1- 4 PM at Pancho O’Malley’s, Mariner Square, 140 Pt. Judith Road, Narragansett. Burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
