Cheryl Noble Dewire

Cheryl Noble Dewire, 62, formerly of Weston, MA. and East Greenwich, R.I. died peacefully, surrounded by family on August 24, 2009. She endured her long term illnesses with unwavering courage. She was the wife of Stephen X. Dewire and the late Charles L. Callahan, III. Born in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of the late George D. and Ruth (Raftrey) Noble, Cheryl most recently lived in Chalfont, PA. She graduated from Northeastern University and worked for several years as a dental hygienist and also for the John Hancock Insurance Company. She thoroughly enjoyed being with family and friends and lovingly enriched the lives of those she touched. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten. She leaves two daughters: Carrie C. Fitzgerald and her husband Timothy of Haverhill, MA. and Elizabeth A. Lopes and her husband Barry of West Hartford, CT; grandchildren, J.T., Kaleigh, Connor and Paige. She was predeceased by one brother and leaves seven brothers and seven sisters and forty-two nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Rd., Kingston, RI., at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31 Interment will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, 6365 Post Road, North Kingstown, R.I. Visiting Hours: Sunday, Aug. 30, 1-4 p.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, R.I. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to National Kidney Foundation or American Diabetes Association.
