Cheryl A. Brown

Cheryl A. (Stock) Brown, 70, of Narragansett, RI, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 30 after a brief illness. Born June 16, 1947 in Rochester, NY, Cheryl was the wife of the late John T. Brown, Sr and daughter of the late Irene F. (Stachowski) Stock Cheryl was a loving, caring, compassionate and loyal person to her family and friends. She took great pride and love in her grandchildren and enjoyed gardening and working in the yard of her home. Her dog Reeses, who she loved unconditionally, was her companion for the last several years after she lost her husband of 43 years, John T. Brown, Sr. She took daily walks throughout the town stopping to talk with neighbors and making friends along the way. Cheryl was a kind person who could befriend anyone. Her infectious smile, sense of humor and kindness allowed people to talk for hours with her. She will be deeply missed by her family. Cheryl leaves behind a son John T. Brown, Jr. of Anderson South Carolina, his wife Julie, and their children Jessica, Ashley and Johnathan, and a daughter, Roxanne Melchiori of Narragansett, RI her husband Matthew and their children Madeline and Helena. She also leaves behind a brother F. Gregory Stock, and his wife Liz of Rochester NY, as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, April 10th at St. Peters By the Sea, 72 Central street Narragansett, RI, and in burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, Cheryl would have been humbled and grateful for gifts to provide help to Gods creatures which she loved so dearly.
