Charles J. Zaikowski

Charles Joseph Zaikowski of Green Hill, RI, passed away peacefully December 6 at St. Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich. He was the husband of Genevieve Mary (David) Zaikowski. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Julian and Amelia (Poliwoda) Zaikowski. He served in the 9th Battalion Army Air Corp, 153 Liaison Squadron and worked as a salesman for Leesona Corp. and Bachi Co. until his retirement. Along with his wife Genevieve of 72 years, he is survived by his three children, Chuck Zaikowski and his wife Ann—Christin of North Kingstown, Joyce Zaikowski of Wakefield, and David Zaikowski and his wife Anni of Australia; three grandchildren, Elin Murphy and her husband Greg, Georgia Zaikowski and her fiancé Sean Dersch, and Bonnie Leibel and her husband Ryan; and a great grandson, Jacob Charles Murphy. Burial will be private. A memorial service for his family will be held at a later date.
