Charles E. Sekator Jr., 70, of Wakefield, RI, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, with his loving family by his side. A son of the late Charles E. and Barbara P. (Champlin) Sekator and the beloved husband of 17 years to Terrace “Terry” (Benwell) Sekator, Charles was a lifelong resident of Wakefield.

Charles was known as a hard worker with a wonderful sense of humor. He was very sweet and would go out of his way to help anybody in need. In his earlier years, Charles was very athletic and loved playing softball, football and basketball. He remained very physically active throughout his life and was often found walking all over town. When asked if he needed a ride, his answer was always that he was fine. Most of all, Charles will be remembered as a great man and a wonderful husband and brother.

In addition to his beloved wife, Terry, Charles is survived by his sister, Penny Williams and her husband Rufus of South Kingstown, RI; his son, Charles E. Sekator III of Providence, RI; his daughter, Jennifer Perry of Providence, RI; his 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services are in the care of Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield, RI 02881. A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 10AM-12PM.
