Charles William O'Connell

Charles William "Bill" O'Connell, 91, of Englewood, Fl. and Wakefield, RI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 14th. Born in Providence, to his loving parents the late Charles and Stella (Flaherty) O'Connell. He was the devoted husband of late Kathleen (Carroll) O'Connell for 65 years.

Bill grew up in Providence, RI and graduated from Providence College. He loved to play golf, doubles tennis, garden and paint landscapes. After retiring Bill & Kay split their time between Florida and Rhode Island.

Bill was very active in both his parishes, serving on the financial committees and serving as a Stephen and Eucharistic minister. He also served as a two term Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his three children, Sheila, Maureen, Brian and his wife Tracy OConnell, as well as his three grandchildren, Craig, Meaghan and Kyle O’Connell.

Funeral will be private.
