Charles R. Niles

Charles R. Niles, born September 21, 1954, in Ossining, NY, son to Everett and June (Guden) Niles, passed away October 12, 2020. Charles leaves his high school sweetheart Susan of 45 years, son, Charles (Shelley), daughter, Nicole (Roger) and his beloved grandchildren, Nicholas and Katelyn. Charles is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth (Buzz), Andrea (Dave), Violet (Jake), Cynthia (Doug), April (Brian) and Lori; brothers, Edward (Rondi) and Peter (June); sister-in-law, Diane; an abundant of nieces and nephews and his beloved friend Mike. Charles is predeceased by his parents, sisters, Carol and Florence and brother, Everett. His love of the ocean ultimately brought him to Narragansett, RI where for many years he lived and enjoyed his life as a commercial fisherman. He unselfishly contributed to the Narragansett High School Mariner Football and Softball teams; Narragansett Little League and especially sponsoring the summer Lobster League where fresh fish and chips were served. Year after year he would anxiously await the month of August when he would host his family and friends reunion.
