Charles A. Chic Lawson

Charles A. “Chic” Lawson, 63, passed away on Sunday, January 17. Chic was born in Goven, Scotland and lived there until he moved to the U.S. in 1977 when he married his wife, Joan (Black) Lawson. Chic had a successful career in chemistry for over 40 years and attained Britain's highest honor in the field as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Chic was an avid soccer fan for all of his life, traveled throughout the world and loved a good book. Besides his wife, Chic is survived by, a son Iain and a daughter Anne Cordella. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, January 20 at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will take place in Scotland, at a later date.
