Charles H. Allen

Charles H. Allen, 80, of Hopkinton and formerly of Cranston, passed away Monday. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Gladys (Parkin) Allen. Mr. Allen became a member of the Dunn’s Corner Community Church, Presbyterian a few years ago, and truly loved attending weekly services at his church. He is survived by three children, Catherine Allen–Lamb of Phoenix, Arizona, Charles E. Allen of South Kingstown, and Elizabeth Burgess of Narragansett; two granddaughters, Nicole Burgess and Lauren Burgess, both of Narragansett; and a sister Frances Sisson of Cranston. He was the brother of the late Marjorie Worthington. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Friday in the Dunn’s Corner Community Church Presbyterian, 221 Post Road (Route 1), Westerly.
