Chad M.
Jackson
Oct 12, 1976 — Jun 26, 2026
Chad M. Jackson, 49, of Geen Hill, RI, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 26, 2026. He will forever be the beloved husband of Dee Bitgood-Jackson. Chad was the son of Cathy Jackson and the late Donnie Jackson and was a lifelong resident of South Kingstown, RI and a graduate of South Kingstown High School.
At a very young age, Chad began working with his dad at the family-owned business, Jackson Surveying, Inc. He quickly learned all aspects of land surveying and engineering from his father and went on to work there for several years. In addition to his work at Jackson Surveying, Chad went back to turfing at Tuckahoe Turf Farm for several years. He enjoyed his work and it was a job suited for him.
Chad was an avid outdoorsman. He also treasured all the dogs that he’s had throughout the years – Roger, Lowbed, Tracker, Kanuck, Skeet and Sam. Chad had also acquired countless friends, some of which were considered part of the family. Anyone who knew Chad would describe him as loyal, trustworthy, hardworking, honest and a real Swamp Yankee. He was always up for a good time and hanging out with Chad was always an adventure. He was very passionate about football, whether it was playing (back in the day) or watching his favorite teams. He also enjoyed many genres of music and was very talented at drawing.
In addition to his mother, Cathy and his beloved wife, Dee, Chad is also survived by his sister, Charee Jackson-Anderson and her husband Greg. His maternal grandparents are Barbara Burdick and the late Tommy “TJ” Jackson. His paternal grandparents were the late Theresa and Douglas Jackson. Chad was also very fond of his late aunt Laurie Jackson as well as his Mother-in-law Loid Bitgood and brother-in-law, Wayne “Scotty” Bitgood. Chad was able to earn the “Chad Dad” title from Dee’s two children, Macy Manning-Metelski and her husband Brandon and the late Tyler Manning. He was also “Chad Grandad” to Grayson Metelski, whom he adored.
Arrangements are in the care of Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield, RI 02879. A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 3-7PM. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Chad’s memory to the charity of your choice.
