Catherine May Morin

Catherine M. Morin, 92, of Charlestown, and formerly of Lincoln, died Thursday at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Morin. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late James and Esther (White) Murnane. Mrs. Morin was an Administrative Assistant at Providence College for 25 years. After retiring, she moved to Charlestown and volunteered at Seniors Helping Others, the Charlestown Senior Center, St. Mary’s Food Pantry, and she was a Eucharistic Minister at St. James Chapel. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, playing cards, going to the beach, baking and travelling. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Kathleen and David Somers of Charlestown, Tricia and Matthew Harding of Westford, MA, and Kevin and Ana Morin of Charlestown; one grandson Christopher Harding of Westford, MA; three sisters, Eileen Giblin of Coventry, Joan Favino of West Warwick, and Joan Bailey of North Ft. Myers, FL; and a brother Charles Giblin of West Warwick. She was the mother of the late Robert Morin, Jr; and sister of the late John Murnane, James Murnane, Esther Rhodes, and Veronica Poisson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 am in St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck Schoolhouse Road, Charlestown. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Monday, 4-7 pm.
