Catherine M. Dempsey

Catherine M. (Connelly) Dempsey, 91, of Wakefield passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at South County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Francis E. Dempsey. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Catherine (Keegan) Connelly. Mrs. Dempsey was an employee at Brown & Sharpe for several years. She was an avid knitter and reader. She leaves a son Francis E. Dempsey Jr. and his wife Margarita of Greenville, RI; a daughter Kathleen Noon and her husband Jim of Wakefield, RI; grandchildren Alexandra and Elena Dempsey and Jay Noon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., Wakefield. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 p.m. in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to South County Hospital, 100 Kenyon Ave, Wakefield, RI 02879.
