Catherine
Calore
Jun 1, 1954 — Jun 17, 2026
Catherine was known for her warm spirit, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to her children and family. Anyone who knew her witnessed true grace, humility, forgiveness, and compassion. She grew up in Barrington, RI, but lived in Southern RI most of her adult life. She was a beacon in her community and was often considered a bonus mom, sister, and family member-even to those not bound by blood.
Catherine also took great pride in her long-standing career in real estate and property management. She will be remembered for the countless joys she brought to those around her, her unmatched home-cooked meals, her pride in every beautiful detail of her home, both inside and out, and her remarkable ability to make anyone feel at home in her presence.
When we needed advice, we called Cathy.
When we needed a friend, we called Cathy.
When we needed unwavering love, we all called Cathy.
Catherine leaves behind her beloved children, Joseph Calore III, Amanda Calore, and Brenda Calore; her longtime partner, William Harney; her grandchildren, Joey, Trevor, Faith, and Archer; as well as four stepchildren and thirteen bonus grandchildren who will honor her memory and continue her legacy of love and compassion.
In celebration of Catherine's life, visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 26th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed immediately by a memorial service at 5:00 p.m., at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, located at 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Rhode Island 02879. Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories and celebrate Catherine's life. A collation will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the South Kingstown Elks Lodge.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take solace in the love and memories we shared with Catherine. We can only hope to carry ourselves through life with a fraction of the grace she embodied each day.
Her love, kindness, and gentle spirit will remain with us always. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
