Carolyn Soderberg

Carolyn Soderberg, 85, of South Kingstown, died Thursday. She was the beloved wife of Richard A. Soderberg. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Ethel (Ashcroft) Salter. She attended the University of Rhode Island and enjoyed spending her winters on Pine Island in Bokeelia, Florida. Besides her husband, she is survived by four children, Richard G. Soderberg and Dean E. Soderberg, both of Wakefield, Karin C. Soderberg of San Diego, CA, and Kristin L. Waugh of East Greenwich; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a sister Patricia Barr of Warwick. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 AM in the Peace Dale Congregational Church, 261 Columbia Street, Peace Dale. Burial will be private in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
