Carolyn L. Ellsworth

Carolyn L. (Redmond) Ellsworth, 78 of Wakefield, died Friday. She was the beloved wife of Richard H. Ellsworth for 56 years. Born in South Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Esther (Mowrey) Redmond. She graduated from South Kingstown High School in 1955. Mrs. Ellsworth was employed as a cafeteria worker for the South Kingstown School System for twenty five years. Besides her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Geraldine Tetreault and her husband Paul of Exeter, Kimberly Taylor of Richmond, Michelle Ellsworth of South Kingstown, Tammy Northup and her husband Louis, II of South Kingstown, and Andrea Holland and her husband Jason of Charlestown; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Hugh Redmond and his companion Helen of South Kingstown, Walt Redmond and his wife Gloria of Gulf Shores, AL, and David Redmond and his wife Linda of Wakefield; two sisters, Gertrude Parker of South Kingstown and Thelma Griego and her husband Joseph of Jacksonville Beach, FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Franklin Redmond and Vivian Cahoone. A funeral service will be held at 10 am Tuesday in the South County Church of Christ, 3510 Tower Hill Road, Wakefield. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Monday 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 2374 Post Road, Suite 206, Warwick, RI 02886-2270.
